How is a 3 initial monogram created?
A ladies monogram is her name initials created in a monogram form. Three initials must be used to create this pendant. If you only have 2 initials or a single initial, other monogram jewelry styles are available to you from Carolina Clover. The lady's first initial is placed to the left, her last name initial is placed in the middle and made larger and her middle name initial is placed to the right, creating a unique pendant that is totally custom created for her.
What kind of chain comes on or with this necklace?
The chain provided with this monogram necklace is a simple link chain. There are no other options available with this designer at this time. However, if you order a pendant style, you may change out the chain to something else.
What is a bail?
The bail is what connects the pendant to the chain. Monogram Pendant style is a separate chain and pendant that slides along the chain. The chain can be changed out if you wish as it is free sliding along the necklace. As shown here:
A double bail attached necklace is stationary on the chain, which means the chain attaches to the pendant in 2 places and cannot be removed or changed out with the pendant. This is the hottest trend in monogram necklaces, shown here as a design example from a different designer.
How do I choose the size of my monogram pendant?
Many sizes are available to you depending on your budget and the look you wish to create. The size in the picture below is 1 1/4 inch pendant that the models are wearing. You can also have a pendant created that is smaller at 5/8 inch or 7/8 inch or a pendant that is larger at 1 1/2 and 2 inches for a beautiful and dramatic look. Typically pendants that measure 5/8 can be worn everyday without removal, larger pendants you may want to remove daily for showering, sports, etc
How do I choose what length I want my chain for my monogram necklace?
In the picture above, the ladies are wearing a 16 inch chain which, depending on your build, will fall at or just below your collar bone. We have a graphic to assist you below, the choices for our jeweler is 16 or 18 inches.

How to I maintain this necklace?
Sterling silver is easy to maintain with a wipe of a jewelers cloth. We typically recommend that you remove your necklace, wipe it and keep it in a sealed bag. Should you have any issues with your necklace, you should contact Carolina Clover and we will work with the designer for repairs if needed.
